Presentation Description
Written by Luciano Iogna, Showdown, the Dora-nominated anti-bullying play for teens, was a teacher’s favorite and played to more than 100,000 students. Developed in collaboration with students and directed by Mixed Company Theatre’s Simon Malbogat, Showdown aimed to help students recognize the different forms bullying can take, and explore the issues that motivate bullying behavior.
Siblings Drew and Ashley physically and psychologically torment their peers. Name-calling, exclusion, extortion, threats and physical violence are their weapons of choice. Their game is to manipulate and control others through the misuse of power. Who will stop them? Will you?
Key character development principles: respect, caring, integrity
