Mixed Company Theatre Announces…

The COMPASS Project

Mixed Company Theatre artists will collaborate with youth aged 16-25 who are ‘at-risk’ and have experience with substance use to develop an original, interactive, and issue-based play.  In partnership with School Action Teams (formerly Empowered Student Partnerships – ESP), this dynamic team will perform to priority neighbourhoods across Toronto.

Garnering intense media interest over the years, Mixed Company Theatre’s projects result in astonishing experiences that transform the lives of participants, company members and audiences alike.

How To Get Involved:

  • •  Promote the Process:
Contact Mixed Company Theatre if you would like to help promote and share information with your networks.
  • •  Host a Performance:
The COMPASS Project tours to priority neighbourhood schools in the Spring 2011 season.  All we need is a 20’ x24’ playing area and access to an electrical outlet.
  • •  Sponsor the Project

"The organization’s success is a testament to the vision and determination of the actors, playwrights, directors and many skilled individuals behind the scenes, who have worked so hard to build a viable theatre company. I would like to commend the Company for its contributions to a richer, more varied Canadian theatre and for making this art form relevant and exciting to a wide variety of audiences."

-- The Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada
